Unsurprisingly, the build will also operate similarly in Patch 2.5 PvM/PvE scenarios as well. In previous patches, the build used Smite for stunlocking (Patch 2.4 also changed that) enemy players in close range or Fist of the Heavens for damaging or finishing enemy players who were out of melee range. For PvP players, this build is nothing new. The Vindicator Templar Paladin gets this build name from PvP. I would like to extend my thanks to Wowhead writers RenataKane and CinereousStyx for providing their advice and assistance which helped formatting this written guide. The fact that Fist of the Heavens' initial damage is lightning benefits from this sunder charm. Whie this latest change nerfs the overall power of the sunder charm + conviction synergy, it will still help the Paladin deal more lightning damage. This used to allow Conviction to apply with 100% efficiency, however with the recent changes to Patch 2.5, conviction and lower resist will now apply with 20% effectiveness, even after the sunder charm's effect. In Patch 2.5, the introduction of the new lightning sunder charm The Crack of the Heavens further empowers this build, because it breaks lightning immunities by lowering monster lightning resistance down to 95%. This buff makes the build jump straight into S tier for players 1-4 and solo hell gameplays. It now also does massive damage on demons as well. Fist of the Heavens used to damage undead only. The most noteworthy buff is undoubtedly making the spell now also damage demons in addition to undead. The first buff is the reduction of Casting Delay from 1 second to 0.4 seconds while also making Fist of the Heavens not share cooldown with other Casting Delay abilities. Note: The Vindicator Templar Paladin will be an exceptional build in Patch 2.4 due to the Fist of the Heavens buffs.
